Catlow on West Coast tour

Natasha Thirsk‘s first adventure after The Dirtmitts was born out of three years of creativity centered around Studio 9 in Los Angeles. Catlow‘s Boompa Records debut, Kiss the World, is exactly the kind of gutar-based angular pop that suits Thirsk’s sexy-sinister vocal style best. With instantly accessible melodies and enough eccentric charm to win over fans of Rilo Kiley, Blonde Redhead and The Breeders, Kiss the World has been highly anticipated by tastemakers across North America.

Essentially a solo project on record, Catlow is now a full-fledged band, featuring Thirsk (guitar), Brent Follet (drums), Kevin Cooper (bass) and Jay Sly (guitars). Having already played a well-received set at Toronto’s North by Northeast, Catlow is now preparing for Fall showcases at PopMontreal and New York’s CMJ Music Marathon.

With band in tow, Thirsk is bringing Catlow on the road for a West coast tour heading back to where it all started – the famed Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on September 4th. Here is an overview of where and when Catlow will be performing:
