Leeroy on UK tour

Fusing a deep-seated punk fury with a gritty country influence and pop sweetness is what Victoria’s own Leeroy Stagger does best. On his sophomore album Beautiful House – originally released in Canada on February 22, 2005 – he firmly stakes his place in the genre of powerful singer/songwriter.

With a touring ensemble of impeccable musicianship, known as The Sinking Hearts, Leeroy has opened for incredibly diverse artists, including The Pixies, Modest Mouse as well as Kathleen Edwards and Evan Dando. In 2005, Leeroy has performed to sold out rooms across North America including a packed showcase performance at this year’s SxSW festival in Austin, TX.

Constantly on the road in North America, this late summer will see Leeroy Stagger’s debut in the UK, performing acoustic solo sets across the country. And it all kicks off at the legendary Borderline in London on August 23rd. With more dates being added every day, here is an overview of where and when Leeroy will be performing:

Beautiful House will be released through Proper Distribution on September 19th, 2005 by Boompa Records. Boompa is distributed by EMI Music in Canada and Caroline Distribution in the USA where the Beautiful House (Special Edition) will see a September 27th and October 18th release, respectively. Early reaction to the album has it marked as an instant classic.
